Clint Thomas is a man with apostolic giftings whose heart burns for the living God. His deepest passions are to be as close to the Lord as possible and to see the fullness of God’s kingdom come here on Earth. He and his wife, Jodi Thomas, are Senior Pastors of Slow Burn Church, which they founded in January 2009 as an expression of their hearts and an answer to the Lord’s call on their lives. Their mission is to raise up an army of God whose hearts burn for all that He burns for.

Clint’s life and ministry hinge entirely on the awareness of God’s presence and the incredible knowledge of His immense love for us. He believes the truth that the things unseen are greater than temporal things, and that all authority on Earth was given to man through Christ Jesus. Therefore, it is our duty to walk just as Jesus walked: to “heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). In conviction of this spirit, Clint’s passionate preaching is an aim to be a mouthpiece of the Living God, letting God’s Holy Spirit speak truth into the hungry hearts and minds of God’s children.

Clint and Slow Burn exist for the empowerment of the believer. In God’s upside-down kingdom, Clint desires to serve as a solid platform on which others can find stable footing in the Lord, be lifted up, and released into their rightful places in the Kingdom. His goal is to bring about the release of God’s chosen into following their destinies, living their callings, and enjoying intimacy with the Lord.

Jodi is the Worship Pastor of Slow Burn, weekly leading God’s children into His presence through worshipping in spirit and in truth. The anthem of her heart is found in Isaiah 54: that God’s covenant of peace and righteousness is our heritage as servants of the Lord! She is committed to walking in the fullness of this inheritance; in leading worship and in songwriting, she is relentless in her devotion to the truth of God and to seeking His face.

Jodi’s passion is seeing God’s people connect with Him intimately through the vehicle of breakthrough in worship. She believes that worship is our weapon, our declaration and celebration that we belong to the Lord: we are His and He is ours! She truly enjoys helping others to be obedient in spending time with the Lord, that they may enjoy His presence and soak in the River of Life! Clint and Jodi have three amazing children, Livia, Calan, and Lainey.
